Farzin Ghayedy

Professional background

Farzin graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2016 with a Master of Pharmacy, alongside Daniel. He completed his pre-registration training in Rochdale, then worked as a locum pharmacist across the UK.

His experience covers community pharmacy, care home services and aesthetics. In 2020 he completed his independent prescribing qualification at Liverpool John Moores University.

Prescribing experience

After qualifying as an independent prescriber, Farzin worked in GP practices. He has particular experience in hormone replacement therapy, hypertension, minor ailments and weight management.

What he does here

Farzin reads patient consultations, assesses whether the requested treatment is appropriate and writes a prescription when it is suitable. Prescription medicines are only dispensed after clinical approval.

If a treatment is not suitable, the pharmacy explains why and advises on the next steps.
